Concept Character Designs

Hi all three of my followers,

Soon we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. Soon we will have, revenge. Wait! Sorry wrong blog.

Here are two approved character designs I did for my latest class, Pre-Production. For this class we all have to work as a team and create an 3D animated film. I suck at the 3D side of things, though I will end up having to do something with it in the future of this class and the next; so I proved I had what it took to do character designs.

The animation will be about a duel between One-Eyed Jack and Teeth McGee in an alien western town.

Roboto

Web Animation with a tribute to my favorite cartoon as a kid, bet you can't guess. Animated in Flash (first time). Roboto was designed at the first Mysticon in Roanoke, VA. The mad scientist is a caricature of me. Items that Roboto passes are various nerd artifacts I own. Dialogue written by Matt Stern and myself (Josh Ginter). Voice over done by the two of us:
Roboto - Matt Sterner
mad scientist - Josh Ginter

Enjoy!

U.S.S. Yorktown fan comic cover idea

Concept art for a fan project comic.

Slushhead Finished

Here is the finished product. Colored in photoshop. Due to some theft of my artwork I have included a watermark on this piece and will continue doing this here on out. I apologize if it is distracting, but it is unfortunately a necessary precaution.

Spore

This is a commission my good Swedish friend Lars wanted me to do. We've been collaborating for a while now. I draw and he paints...looks like the start of a beautiful friendship.

Anyway he has been trying to get artist to draw pin-ups of his creation Spore, a android chick with sensor hair, a crazy tetris harness, and energy vents. I've been working on this sucker for over a week now. This image is unfinished (finished the pencils Saturday and will properly scan sometime this week) the bottom right hand corner is barren. Lars was pretty excited about the use of the harness, apparently no one has tried to show it forming. Not sure what he thought of it though...

Here she is interpreted by another artist, unfortunately I don't know who did this but it is pretty cool none the less:

Isaiah t-shirt design

Here is a design I did for the newest edition to the family, Isaiah. I did a design for my first born, Elijah, that was of an alien squid with a gas problem. But here I opted to give the second born a bit of power with the ownership of a big brother eating blob.
